We're Teng Bao and Jesse Zhang, a couple of developers/designers working with websites, games, and graphics. We've created games and visual experiences with Flash, coded websites from scratch, and worked with or cofounded a bunch of early-stage startups. The web is our sandbox and it's our job to harness its power — to inspire, to connect, to entertain. We like to make things look good and work well.
We're currently working from our own corners of the world. Teng studied economics at the University of Chicago and Jesse studies physics and engineering at Cornell University. Echorocket came together a few years ago as a way to tie our prior work together and to grab a foothold on the world wide web. We work up and down the stack — from backend development to frontend and UI/UX design and even to print design.
In web development, we've done our share of HTML/CSS (We love HAML and LESS), JavaScript (along with jQuery, of course), Ruby on Rails, PHP, and SQL. We're getting into Node.js with MongoDB. On the design side, we're handy with Illustrator and Fireworks. Last but not least, we started out with game development in Flash and ActionScript.
